Harrogate papercraft show

Hya,

I hope you have had a good week.

What a busy week I have had this week. I have had a couple of days off work and I have been as busy as if I was at work. I have held a class at mine, my ladies had a good time and also my stampin' up mum, Julie, called in for coffee.

My ladies made some goodies using the ' A Good Egg' stamp set. You have already seen the card and the treat pouch. They also made a chocolate holder. The idea came from Jenni Moors who is a really talented lady. The colour way is Certainly Celery, Barely Banana and Brocade Blue. The holder is just right for holding after eight mints. Yumm!!
This is the front view,

and this is the inside view.

It's such a nice little holder and i'm sure you could put also put other chocs in.

I then had two ladies on friday who came for an informal class with me to do the humming bird card that i have shown you before.

Today I went to the Harrogate Papercraft Extravaganza with my friend Carol. We definatley shopped till we dropped. We picked up all sorts of goodies and spent up, like you do. My daughter Lauren met me there with another friend, Lynne after they had been to a wedding this morning. I thought I would show you a picture of her (with her consent!). The show ground was a lovely setting to take her picture and the sun was shinning too.

Well, it's back to work for me tomorrow so I need to get things ready.

A good egg

Hya,

Monday again, how quickly it seems to come around again. Another very busy day at work today but a glass of vino with friends soon put things back on track.
I said i would show you a card my class are making on weds. The idea again came from Monica Gale, and no matter how many times i tried to change the colour way i didn't like it as much as this combination. It is Certainly Celery, Brocade Blue and Barely Banana. The ribbon is also Brocade Blue. The stamp set is A Good Egg. I have used glossy accents on the egg shells but you can't see it properly in this photo.

Rite, got to go and organise daughter. Have a good rest of the week.

Happy mothers day

Hya,

Happy mothers day to you all.

I hope you mums have all been pampered and looked after today. I was up long before my daughter Lauren today, but when she did get out of her bed she made me some breakfast and this is what she brought me. Bless!!!

The project I have got to show you today is one that I have seen Monica Gale has done. Its a little treat holder. I have adapted mine to use for the easter theme in a class I have this week coming. The papers are from the set tea party and i think they are perfect for the spring/easter class. The little chick is from a stamp set called A Good Egg.

There is a little flower that is fastening the little treat bag at the top, this is from the pretties kit. They came plain white and you can colour them in yourself. So many uses for these gorgeous little silk flowers.

That's it for today, come back tomorrow and i will show you a card that class are also going to make. Enjoy the rest of your sunday.

crazy for cupcakes

Hya,

Happy monday to you. The sun has started shinning and it's certainly putting people in a better mood.

I wanted to show you another card that I have made for another good friend of mine Angela. It's her birthday next week. This time I have used the stamp set Crazy for Cupcakes. It's a sweet little set that I have used quite abit.

The colour comination is Regal Rose cardstock layered with Choc Chip cardstock. I enjoy colouring the cupcakes, it's like they come to life as you add more colour. The backing layer is from the Sweet Always papers that unfortunatley have already retired. sorry! The ribbon is also stitched Choc Chip ribbon. The sentiment was used from a different called Cheer and Wishes.

I also was happy today as I have bought the Boyzone cd - Brother. I love the track they have released - Gave it all away and I look forward to hearing the rest of the cd.

Well time to go. Have a good week.

Jems Training

Hya,

Good weekend to you.

This week I have been with some of my Jem sisters to our stampin' up mums -Julie- for some training. Tues evening Sarah, Kate, Julie and me made some display boards for ribbon to be shown more easily. I have to sat they do show the ribbons really well.

There are also some new ribbons arriving from the new mini catalogue which are more colours for the satin ribbons. If you remember we already have whisper white, well there are also other colours to chose from. I will show you them when they arrive. I cannot wait.
This week i made a card using the Boroque motifs stamp set. I used pink passion card stock and teamed it with basic black. On the flowers themselves i have put flat backed pearles from the Pretties Kit to give some dimention to it. Im not sure you can see them clearly, but they are there, honest! Again i have used whisper white satin ribbon (just for a change-lol!) I really do think it adds the finishing touches beautifully.

Well being saturday i need to get some cleaning and stuff done.

flight of the butterfly

Hya,

I hope your week has been good to you.

I have been very lucky this week as I have had quite a few orders for cards. The most popular card I have been asked to make is the handbag card. I don't know if you remember the card I made for Abigails 16th birthday but I have been asked to make three 21st birthday cards in the same sort of style. I won't bore you by explaining each card but one of them is in black and white. The monochrome look is so popular.

These are the inside views too. I think they look so classy.

I also thought I would show you a different card made using Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. The background grasses are made with the Pocket Silhouette stamps. The colour combo is Regal rose for the base card, Rose Red and So Saffron for the matting. I used the word window punch for the sentiment and Old Olive striped grosgrain ribbon. so cute..

These card is made abit different as its at an angle, which is called an Easel card. Quite simple but very effective. I have shown you a side view so you can see it better.

What do you think?
Thats it for tonight. Sleep well.
