Good Luck Card

Hya,

Did you have a good weekend? Mine was a little odd. Hubby and daughter have gone for a little quality time together. This means that all is very quiet in this household at the moment. As usual though if things are going wrong it will happen now. My cat has got a cut paw and is down is feeling very sorry for herself. Oh boy!!

So onto the card. I know what you are thinking, those pesky shirts again. One of Lauren's teachers left her school on friday. She thought alot of this teacher and wanted to say 'Thanks and Good Luck'. He loves his sport and was totally made up with this card. All the card was used from my stash of cardstock. The white ribbon was the lovely whisper white and the sentiment was done on the computer and cut out using the Oval Punch and the Scalloped Oval punch.

So, on that note i am off to check on my mog. I also need to get my class ready for the weekend. Have a good week.

Craft Day Part 2

Hya,

Happy thursday to you. How is the week going for you? Almost the weekend which is great.
I thought i would show you a few more treats from our day crafting.

The first pic is a desk card holder, made out of Rose Red card. It is decorated with Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White. On top of the whisper white i have put Old Olive Satin Ribbon and then some of the Stitched Felt Flowers that we got to play with too.

To go in the holder we made a few cards. The first card again was made with the Rose Red cardstock, layered with Old Olive. On Whisper White, the background was stamped with the Rose Red coloured inkpad with the Vintage Vogue stampset. The pearls are from my stash.

Again, the cardstock this time is Regal Rose with Rose Red. Same stampset, Vintage Vogue with a beautiful Filigree Brad.

Well thats it for now.

Have a good rest of the week. Thanks for looking,

A day crafting.

Hya,

How has your weekend been so far? I have had a lovely day yesturday. I went to Julies for her all day class. We all had a great day and I met some lovely people. Hello to Becki, Sue, Barbara, Elaine and finally Diane who i shared our table with. we shared ideas and solutions and generally had a fabulous day. I can't wait to do it all again.

Here, i have one of the projects that we made in the afternoon. I know that i should show you in order what we made but I absolutley love this bag. So much so that when i brought it home hubby thought i had been out shopping and bought myself a treat!

This bag was made using Patterns Designer Series Paper in Rose Red and Old Olive. The decorations are some felt flowers from the Stitched Felt kit, which i have never used before. They just add the girly touch for me. Also used is Filigree brads, which i do love using.
I dont know if you can see, but there is a small envelope attatched on the front. Inside the envelope is just a little card with a flower on it. I have even put a little pocket on the inside to look just like the real thing.

How cool is this. I have to say this photo doesn't do it justice, it's even nicer in the flesh.
Why not come back next week and i will show you something else we made. If you want to drop me a line my email is lynda.bradley21@ntlworld.com. Well that's it for now. Have a lovely rest of the weekend.

Well Done Card

Hya,

How has your week been so far? All i can say is thankgod it's friday tomorrow. On tuesday i bought a big shot machine as i have seen some cards made with dies that only go in the big shot. The only thing is i haven't had time to play yet which i am dying to do. Also at the weekend it's a full day crafting at Julies. A full day of just doing crafts with people who also love to do the same. What more can you ask?

So on that note, i thought i would show you a card i was asked to make. I had seen this card on the talented Michelle Last's blog and knew it was perfect for what i needed. Now this card will also do for many occasions. This one is in mind for a friends daughter who has just sat her GCSE's and will get her results in a few weeks time.

I used the Bridegroom Papers as a base, then used the stampset Vintage Labels ( which is now retired) layered onto a black square. The ribbon is the lovely Old Olive Satin Ribbon. I finished the look with a Filigree Brad.

I hope you likey. Have a good weekend.

Anniversary Card

Hya,

Hows your weekend been? Mine has been quite busy. Yesturday Lauren and I went to the Castleford Freeport. We had been given tickets by my lovely friend Carol to go to the pictures there and Lauren was desperate to see Shrek Forever After. It was a good film but it was a long time ago that i went to the pictures on a saturday. I had forgotten how many young children go to the saturday matinee. After the film we had lunch and then did abit of retail therapy, like you do. Then today i have tried to catch up with house work and stuff.

Anyway, on to a card. This card was made for my hubby as it was our wedding anniversary this week. I used Basic Black with Real Red layered on it. The background was the A to Z stamped onto Whisper White. I wrapped Gold Thread around for detail. The heart was stamped using the I {Heart} Hearts stampset. I then punched a Real Red heart using the heart punch and layered them together. The sentiment was from the Cheer and Wishes set also mounted on the Real Red and Basic Black.

Iam quite pleased with the end result and so is hubby.

Time to go now. Have a lovely week.

julies birthday prezzie

Hya,

Happy thursday to you. Are you having a good week? Mines not too bad. We had training at my Stampin' Up mum - Julies, on tuesday evening. It was great to catch up and we also made a card which i will show you at a later date.

I thought i would show you something different today. As i told you before it was Julie's birthday at the weekend. Now Julie likes all things cupcake, so i had bought her a cupcake candle which is rather cute. To be a bit different i made a box for it to go into. I used card and papers from The Sunny Days Scrapping Kit. It's a lovely bright kit that has Tempting Turquiose, Pink Passion and Pumkin Pie card stock and really nice papers that all co-ordinate perfectly.

I used the tiny tags punch and stampset for the front and Very Vanilla Grossgrain ribbon and gold thread to tie them on with. That cupcake is just good enough to eat doesn't it?

Well im off now. Thanks for looking.

Hairspray

Hya,

Oh my god, i am so bad. I didn't realise that i hadn't posted midweek this week. Naughty Lynda!! I have been quite busy though. I have done some commission orders this week and of course busy working and doing course work.

Anyway, i must tell you. We went to the theatre on friday evening, to watch HAIRSPRAY, the musical. What a fantastic night. It is such a feelgood show.

Here i am meeting Brian Conley, who played Edna Turnblad. He is always lovely to meet and my claim to fame is he remembered me from a previous meeting. How nice was that?

Here is Lauren also meeting Brian.

This lady is Dina Tree. She played Tracy Turnblad. She was absolutley amazing. Even though Brian was one of the celebs, this lady stole the show. It also turns out that she was the understudy. What a lovely lady.

Here is Lauren with Liam Doyle who played Link Larkin. I am reliably told by Lauren he won the GMTV competition for the role of Troy Bolton in High School Musical 2. Lauren overheard him talking to his mum saying he was bringing his washing home to her which did have her tickled.

What a fabulous night out, i would highly recomend this show to anyone. If you get chance to see it you won't be dissapointed.

Back to crafting, yesturday was my Stampin' Up mum, Julie's birthday. This is the card i sent her.

I used Tempting Turquiouse card stock for the base and layered it with Pumpkin Pie cardstock. The papers were from a designer set Sweet Always, that has now retired. The cake was from the stampset Fun and Fast Notes. The sentiment is the birthday greeting from The circle of friendship stamp set.

well, time for me to get some work done.

Have a good week.
