flight of the butterfly

Hya,

I hope your week has been good to you.

I have been very lucky this week as I have had quite a few orders for cards. The most popular card I have been asked to make is the handbag card. I don't know if you remember the card I made for Abigails 16th birthday but I have been asked to make three 21st birthday cards in the same sort of style. I won't bore you by explaining each card but one of them is in black and white. The monochrome look is so popular.

These are the inside views too. I think they look so classy.

I also thought I would show you a different card made using Flight of the Butterfly stamp set. The background grasses are made with the Pocket Silhouette stamps. The colour combo is Regal rose for the base card, Rose Red and So Saffron for the matting. I used the word window punch for the sentiment and Old Olive striped grosgrain ribbon. so cute..

These card is made abit different as its at an angle, which is called an Easel card. Quite simple but very effective. I have shown you a side view so you can see it better.

What do you think?
Thats it for tonight. Sleep well.

Carols Birthday

Hya

I hope you have had a good week. Mine has been ok, nothing out of the ordinary. That is until it snowed again last night. I thought we had seen the last of it and took a sigh of relief, only to wake up to another covering. How i wish for the spring to arrive. I always feel sorry for the snow drops. They always seem so delicate.

I had quite abit to do this week as it's my good friend - carols birthday this week. I usually show her any cards i make to get her feed back and so had to come up with something abit different for her. She didn't do my last craft class and i was very good and managed not to show her what we made so i know she hasn't seen the criss cross card. (im sure she hasn't looked at the blog so i should be safe).

This card hasn't been made with stampin' up products but i know carol will love this combination. As you can see i have given away her age - oops! I know she wont mind. I have used a stamp from the sale-a-bration set. Im not sure you can see the sentiment, it says- The more candles the bigger the wish.

The next card is also for carol because as well as being her birthday she is also retiring from work. Lucky her!! Carol loves the Art Decco era.

Again i haven't used stampin' up products other than the georgous whisper white ribbon that works perfectly to finish it off.

Well that's it for now. I will show you tomorrow a take on another card i have been asked to make for a friend. Enjoy the rest of your sunday.

Craft Day Part 2

Hya,

Happy valentines day to you.

I hope you have had a nice chillin' day.

I have tried to make a card today but it just hasn't work out. Some you win and some you lose. I will try again as it's a feather card for a friend and I don't like to let people down.

I said i would be back to show you more goodies from yesturday's craft day at julie's.

Here is the first, it's a birthday tin. A lovely tin that holds a year calendar in the lid and then in the main compartment there is eight cards. Julie left it to us how we designed them. we were all given the same sunny days scrappin' kit but i didn't know you could come up with so many different variations.

Here is the inside view, how cute is this? and what a good idea.

Some of the cards I have also included to show you. some are very simple and others are abit more detailed.

How good are they?. Julie will be having another day in the summer and I highly recommend it. As far as I know a good time was had by all. I'm looking forward to the next.

One last thing before i go, Julie is known as the cupcake queen. She supplied lunch yesturday which was very nice too, but for dessert there were these cute little cup cakes

I have to say it tasted as good as it looks, if not sweeter. YUMMY!!!!!!!
Hope you like these. Have a good week.

Craft Day

Hya,
Good evening to you.

Wow what a day i have had today. I have been to a craft day at my Stampin' up mums - Julies with my great friend carol.
It has been busy, mad but absolutley brilliant. We made a few things using the sunny days scrap booking kit. It's lovely. Nice bright colours and lots of different uses.
I got to meet some of the other jems in julies team, which was nice to put faces to names. Sarah Jane even made us all a little gift,

It's a lovely lavender pouch, which i think is really nice. Thanks Sarah Jane.x

The day started with us making a box for treats, and we also used some of my favourite colours Pink Pasion and Tempting Turquoise. The stamp set we used was from the Happy momments Sale-a-Bration set.

The bag is fastened with Tempting Turquoise ribbon and in side are some sweeties. YUM!!!Then we made a treat bag holder, also in same colours ( but i love them so i don't mind),

I don't know if you can see but the middle is holding a couple of choc bars. This is a lovely idea that can be used for all sorts of things such as party favours or mothers day treats. That was quite funny because our table was taking bets on whether the choc would actually make it home.lol.

I'm not qoing to spoil you too much by showing you all the goodies in one go. so i will save the next for tomorow's entry.

Hope you like,

wonderfull words

Hya,

I thought i would show you another card that i made yesturday.

This card is made using the stamp set wonderful words. The colours are using variations of reds punched out of card stock using the word window punch. I placed them side by to create this varigated effect. The ribbon is real red card and just finishes it off. I have seen a card using this format on another blog but i cannot remember who's to give them some credit.I have changed a few things so it isn't completely cased.

I like this card because it can be used for a valentine card or even an anniversary card. If you take the heart off you could even use it for a thankyou or thinking of you card. so many uses.

Iam looking forward to saturday as Iam doing an all day craft session at my stampin' up mums, julie. so i will hopefully be able to show you our projects. can't wait.

Have a good week.

garden dream

Hya,

Good morning to you. How has your week been? I did intend to post yesturday but ended up with a migraine on thursday which left me unable to concentrate enough to craft ( or do much else to be honest) for a few days. But that also means that the card i ended up making yesterday is one i have really enjoyed doing. see what you think.

This card is made using a hostess set called Garden Dream. The colour combination i have used is Old olive (leaves and ribbon), Pink Passion (on flowers), Perfect Plum (humming bird), Pale Plum and Elegant Eggplant for the card stock. I don't think you can see on the photo but i have lifted the humming bird using dimensionals. The greeting is from the Simply Said which is-A friend is someone who makes it easy.just in case you can't read it clearly.

I'm really pleased with this. I love humming birds. Many years ago i used to work with humming birds and when i see things like this it brings so many lovely memories.

I hope you like it. Please free to leave me a comment or some feed back, good or bad! (I can take it, lol).

Have a nice sunday.

certainly celery card

Hya,

Has your monday been ok? mine wasn't too bad, busy as usual at work. Iam now able to show you a card i made for my ladies.

This card was made from very vanilla love notes. the coloured card stock is certainly celery as is the ribbon. the little flowers are punched using a set that has now retired. This is a nice little card that can be used for all sorts of occasions.

I need to think what my next wee project is going to be. I will keep you posted. Have a good week.
