Loads of love

Hya,

How has your monday been? Mine hasn't been too bad. Busy at work as usual. I'm looking forward to tomorrow. I'm going to my stampin' up mum's julie for some training. I always enjoy meeting up with other demonstrators. I will let you know how we get on.

Do you remember the 18th birthday card i did? Well for the same person i was asked by his girlfriend to make a card for her to give too. Cripes!! Talk about challenging me. So this is what i came up with. I could go with abit more cute as it was from his girlfriend.

The stamp set is Loads of Love. The colour combo is Old Olive and Pumkin Pie cardstock. The ribbon was the lovely satin Old Olive (again!) I don't know if you can see it properly but the ribbon under the 18 has been tied with gold elastic thread.

Sorry for the not great photo. I hope you like.

Have a good week.

Cheers to you

Hya,

well, I don't know about for you but the sun is shinning here. It makes a lovely change. It has cheered me up abit as i'm still feeling abit sore from my tooth being pulled.

This week I have been asked to make a card for a friends 18th birthday. I'm not very good at coming up with ideas for boys but this is what I came up with for this one.

The backing papers I have used are from a retired set of papers which is Brilliant Blue Prints Designer papers. This set is perfect for making male cards. The beer mugs are from a stamp set called Cheers To You. I coloured the beer mugs using my ink pads with a blending pen. The froth on the beer is also raised to look like its real even though the photo doesn't show it well.

That's it for now, i'm off to enjoy some of the sun. See you soon.

simply said

Hya,

Hows things with you? Not a great week for me. Had to have a wisdom tooth out yesturday. Ouch!! I'm feeling a bit sore today and abit sorry for my self.

Anyway, I thought I would show you a card that was made for a friends birthday. I was told her favourite colour is green so I decided to go with the colour combo of Certainly Celery and Barely Banana. Again the ribbon is the lush sattin ribbon in Old Olive. The stamp set i've used is the simply said set. The sentiment is from the Oval All stamp set.

I love this card and it can be made with so many different colours.

Well that's me for now.

garden dream

Hya,

How has your week been? Mines been quite busy.

I wanted to show you a card I made my lovely friend Geraldine. It has been a very sad week for her as her cat passed away this week. I sent her this card to let her know Im thinking of her.

I used the Garden Dream stamp set, and the colour combination is Old Olive and Real Red. The embossing is using an embossing folder through the cuttlebug. The ribbon is that lovely new satin ribbon in Real Red from the minni catalogue.

Short post today.

Laurens birthday

Hya,

Phew busy week so far. Yesturday was my lovely Laurens birthday. She is now 14 going on 40. She asked me to take her to York for the day which was a really nice day out. We took her friend Sarah with us and we walked all our socks off. We had lunch in the Pizza Hut which is one of her favourite places to eat. Not that I object you understand. Also we had to have somewhere to warm up as it was absolutely freezing!

Anyway, here is the card I made to celebrate the great occasion.

Now you may think that this is a bit of an odd design for her but let me tell you she is totally sheep mad. Only a few weeks ago she was taken to a sheep farm to watch the lambing and ended up helping deliver 4 lambs whilst she was there. The sheeps on the card have been made using Stampin' Up punches punched out of whisper white and basic black cardstock. The stamping on the card is using Pink Passion and Green Galore inkpads.

What do you think? Cute eh?

well that's it for now. Thanks for looking.

Garden dream

Hya,

Happy sunday to you. Nothing much happening in the way of crafting at the moment. I have made a few cards but I can't show you yet as they are for birthdays this week and the people they are for haven't got them yet. What was nice was being able to craft in the spring sunshine in the garden. It was quite peaceful with the birds singing. How nice is that?

One i can show you is using the Garden Dream stamp set. It's using one of the flowers from this set and you can co-ordinate it to any colour scheme you want.

I have used the faithful Old Olive card and Lavender Lace card stock. The flower is also coloured in using Lavender Lace ink pad. The ribbon is Very Vanilla grossgrain. Not one i have used before but i'm pleased with the result. The sentiment I have used is 'Your never more than a thought away' which is from a retired sale-a-bration set.

Well that's it for now, there's a pile of ironing with my name on.

Medallion card

Hya,

Sorry for not posting earlier, it's just been one of those weeks. Also been getting over the dog sitting. How has your week been?

I thought i would show you another of my medallion cards. I do like this stamp, it's just a really nice stamp for many uses. This time i have used the colour combination of whisper white and basic black. The sentiment again is from the Oval All stamp set. There goes that fab Whisper White ribbon again.

You may have heard on the Stampin' Up grapevine that some new colours are being introduced so that we are in line with our american colleagues. Here is the new colours that will be in october (which may seem ages away yet),

But for this to happen some colours have to retire. Iam abit dissappointed because some of my favourite colurs will be gone. I will have to make sure i stock up before october.

Anyway, thats it for now.

Happy Easter

Hya,
Happy Easter to you. I hope the easter bunny visited you. He called here for Lauren luckily.
Have you had a nice weekend? Mine's been ok but quite stressful. We are doggy sitting for my friend.

This is Flossy, a west highland white. As you can see she's really impressed with the idea of staying at 'Hotel de Bradley's '. One of her things is her dislike of cats- of which i was unaware. Problem being - i have two. They have gone into hiding. Any way she goes home tomorrow-home being Kent. So i will have to pamper the moggies just a little bit more than usual, (not that they need any excuse!!).
Anyway, I wanted to show you some fab new ribbons that are in the new mini catalogue that has been released on the 1st of April.

The new releases are Old Olive, Choc Chip and Real Red. As you can see they are shiny, that's because they are satin ribbons. Anyone who knows me knows i like the whisper white,so you can imagine how made up I am that they have introduced these new colours.

This is a card i made today using some fab choc chip ribbon. The colour combo is Sahara Sand cardstock and Taken with Teal colour ink. (I know it looks blue in this pick but it really is Taken with Teal.) The stamp is Medallion stamp. It's one i have had for ages and just need to be inspired to use it. The sentiment is from the Oval All stamp set.
I hope you likey. Enjoy the rest of the bank holiday.
