All of a flutter

Hya,

How has your sunday been? I have had a lovely day. Lauren and I have been to a clothes swap this afternoon. My friends and I had decided that we had too many clothes that was taking far too much room in our houses, so we got together and exchanged our clothes. Vino and great weather made it a brilliant afternoon. And into the bargin we now have new outfits to wear.

Here are two new cards to show you today ( I know, i am spoiling you.)

I have used the All of a flutter stamp which i have cut out. I have coloured them in using my water colour pencils then mounted them onto the background. I stamped the background on Whisper White with the A to Z stamp. The cardstock is from my own stash that i needed to use up.

Which colourway do you prefer?

So that's it for today. Have a good week.

Geraldines birthday card

Hya,

Happy thursday to you. Isn't the weather just lovely. It makes a really nice change that the sun is shining. It also means people are in a much nicer, especially as the england team finally won a game.

This time i wanted to show you a card that i made my lovely friend Geraldine's birthday that was this week. I have used some of her favourite colours. The backing card is from the new colours - Soft Suede. The next layer is the colour i know she uses the most - Old Olive. The flowers have been stamped with the inkpad Soft Suede and an old retired stamp set. The flower on the front is stamped using the flower from The Vintage Vogue set. To finish the card off i used Soft Suede polka dot ribbon.

So that's it for now. Why not leave me a comment to let me know you called by.

Fathers Day

Hya,

Happy fathers day. Is all ok?
I wanted to share with you something that happened to Lauren and I yesturday. We went into Leeds market to get a few bits and pieces like you do. I was engrossed on a friut stall checking out some lovely strawberries when Lauren said ' Mum, there is a potato with a smiley face'. When i looked up there was a pile of new potatoes and right at the very top was a potato that looked like it was smiling. She eventually convinced me to ask the stallholder if we could buy it. After explaining why we only wanted one perticular potato, the stallholder packed the potato for Lauren and gave her it as a present for making his day and putting a big smile on his face. Now all i can say is that Lauren has protected the now named Peter Potato and he now has pride of place on our mantle. Everyone who has seen said potato and photo has had a good chuckle.
So, here is a photo of Peter with a shirt that was made at Julies Jems training night.

And now for me to show you a card that has been made for fathers day. Julie, my Stampin' Up mum showed us how to make these shirts to go on cards for men. This card has been made with some of my favourite colours Taken with Teal and Choc Chip. I will be sad to see Taken with Teal go when it retires soon. The ribbon is the Soft Suede polka dots. I have punched the greeting using the Oval Punch and the Scalloped Oval Punch.

Well i hope this has made you smile as much as it made us smile. Have a good week.

Thank you card

Hya,

How has your week been so far? I have been fairly busy as usual.

I thought i would show you a card i have made which was fairly easy and quick to make. I love the colours this involves. It's a colour that i have used many times before. Good old 'Old Olive' ink pad, iam so glad this colour is staying. The leafs are stamps used from the set 'Vintage Vogue'. I know this set has been used loads by other demonstrators but i haven't made enough use of it yet. The butterfly is from the Flight of the Butterfly set again. This time stamped with the new colour inkpad Melon Mambo. How girly is this colour, i love it. The ribbon is again Old Olive satin ribbon.

That's it for now. Have a good rest of the week.

Katies 21st card

Hi

How has your week been. Sorry for lack of blog this week time just seems to have run away with me.

This time I am showing you a card that isn't stampin' up ( very naughty i know). It was made for my friends daughter Katie who was 21 on monday. I got the initial idea from my lovely friend Geraldine. It is quite a move away from my ususal type of card.

It is abit hard to see, but the champayne glass is made out of acetate and there is quite abit of bling on to look like the bubbles, and how cute does she look perched on the edge of the glass. I also thought the colour purple combo just fitted perfectley. I added a little extra bling too, if you can't have bling on a 21 card when can you...

Hope you likey, have a good week,

Baby card

Hya,

Happy monday to you. Did you have a good weekend? I went to a bbq for a 21st birthday yesturday. The weather wasn't great but that's the great british weather for you. It didn't stop everyone having a good time though.

I thought i would show you a card i was asked to make for a new arrival. Now i did do one of the vest cards like a did before but this time it is for a little girl. I will show you that card a little later.

This card has also been made for the same little girl. This is another easel card which have proved very popular. I have used a stamp from the Fun and Fastnotes stampset, stamped in basic black and then coloured in using Pink Passion ink pad.
Baby's name, which i think is beautiful, ORLA MAE, was stamped using Just Perfect Alphabet and again Pink Passion ink. Ribbon was from my stash.

I love this card, it has turned out so well.

well onwards to more studying and card making. Have a good week.

golden wedding anniversary

Hya,

Hows you? Is the week being good to you? At least the nice weather has returned to us. Just a pity i have to work. I hope it stays for the weekend.

I thought i would show you a card i was asked to make for a golden wedding anniversary. Now this card was inspired by my stamping up mum Julie. She has a lovely card on her blog. This card was made using Summer Sun cardstock. I have stamped with basic black onto to the summer sun with the polka background stamp.I also used basic black again on summer sun and very vanilla with the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set. I have then layered the hearts across in a line. i have used black gingham ribbon across the top and bottom of the rows.
Iam pleased with the final result.
My other news is that Iam so excited. The Stampin' Up Convention details have been released for in November and i have managed to secure my place there. We are Having two days of all things Stampin' up and I can't wait. We will be there with other demonstrators from around Europe. Iam sure you will hear lots about it before then.
Well, back to it for now.
