Post it note holder

Hya,

Happy Bank Holiday to you. Gosh my day off seems to be wizzing by. How is yours? This weekend i have had to do the school shopping which is always fun (not!!) Once we had done the majority of it there was a wedding fair on in Leeds. Now Lauren was in her element here. She absolutley loves anything to do with weddings, so much so i think it's definatley where a career lies for her. She got chance to talk to the owner of the wedding dress shop and managed to get some information from her. Lauren would love to do her work experience in a wedding dress shop.

Anyway time to show you my latest project. I am still going with the monochrome theme ish. I decided to do a three d project which is a post it note holder.

For the base i have used Basic Black card stock. I have then used papers from the Night and Day speciality papers. I have layered these onto Whisper White to give abit a bit of detail. I have used the gorgeous Real Red Satin Ribbon tied together with a jewel brad from the Pretties Kit. That kit does seem to go along way. There is a slot that you can put a pen in. On the pen i covered the main body with matching paper.

Here i have shown you the inside angle just so you can see how the post it note sits.

Well that's it for now, hope you likey : ) have a good week.

Monochrome card

Hya,

What have you been up to?

I have had a few orders to complete this week. I got to play with the Crazy For Cupcake stampset this week and it never fails to give me lovely results. Also had some well done cards to make for tho students who have bitten their finger nails down to the knuckle!! I hope anyone you know has done well too.

Anyway for some strange reason i had a real urge to do a monochrome card this week. I have used Basic Black cardstock and Whisper White paper. I stamped the black with the Whisper White inkpad. You know what's coming next, the ribbon is one of my favourites Satin Whisper White. The stampset is the Pocket Silhouettes set. I decided to do an easle card just for something abit different.

Thought i would show you another angle, to show to it's full wowness!!
That's me done for now, thanks for looking. Have a great bank holiday weekend. Hope your doing something nice.

Leaving card.

Hya,

Gosh i can't believe the weekend is nearly over all ready. Before you know it it's back to work!! I have been so busy doing all the chores have been waiting to be done. What about you, have you had a good weekend?

I thought i would show you a card i was asked to make for a lady who is leaving my husbands work. She is well liked by all and i know she will be missed.

So this card was made by using the Live Your Dreams stamp set. Now this is the first time i have used this set and i really like how this has turned out. I have used my brush markers on the stamps themselves and this gave me a painted finish. I have used ribbon from my own stash which was a gorgeous deep purple velvet ribbon to give a luxury feel to the card. Those most observant amongst you will see that i haven't put a sentiment on yet, iam just finding the right one to use.

Well that's me for now. Have a good week.

Sale-a-bration cards

Hya,

How has your week been so far? Mine's going ok. Not too stressfull at the moment, thank goodness. I have taken a big step (for me anyway!) I have joined Facebook. Ohhh. It's amazing what/who you can find on there.

I thought i would show you a couple of cards i have made. I got the idea from Michelle Last, who i think has some lovely ideas. These cards are made using one of the Sale a bration sets that are now retired called Happy Moments. I have used my inkpads as paints again, which give the water colour effect. The inkpads are Tempting Turquiose and So Saffron. I also thought that the Gold elastic thread just finished it off. The backing card is also Tempting Turquiose.

This next one is coloured with the inkpads Pumkin Pie and So Saffron blended again. This time the ribbon is Certainly Celery and so is the backing card.

Well that's it for today. Hope you likey.

Wedding card

Hya,

Oh my goodness, where does the time go? I can't believe the weekend has come around so quickly. I'm sorry i haven't posted mid week I just seem to have been chasing my tail. I have had a few orders that have needed my attention this week.

I do have a card to show you. A friend of mine went on holiday to Las Vegas last week. While she was there her partner proposed to her and they got married whilst they were there. All totally unexpected. How amazing is that. So I had seen a card on Vicki's blog-Blue Jelly (thanks for the idea vicki) that is just perfect for what i needed for the happy couple.

This is my version,

I have used the colour Pale Plum ink that has been brayered on to the Bridesmaid Speciality Papers. I then layered the papers on to Whisper White. I then stamped the Mr & Mrs with the stamp set Mr and Mrs. I know, that sounded gibberish.! I don't know if you can tell but the & has been embosed in silver. The ribbon used is the gorgeous Whisper White with some Elegant Eggplant ribbon for a contrasting colour. The pin is from the Pretties Kit with the beads to finish it off.

Here is a side view so that you can see the embossing. That's it for now. Thanks for looking.

A little break.

Hya,

Where have you been i hear you ask? Well sorry for not posting but i took a few days off and took Lauren and her friend Sarah to the coast. My lovely friend Carol had given me use of her caravan near Bridlington so it was lovely just to escape especially after my busy couple of weeks.
Here is Lauren and Sarah chillin outside the caravan. (waiting to be fed really!!)

One of the days we went on quite a walk. We walked from the caravan park to Thornwick Bay which i thought was absolutley beautiful. It was just stunning and really nice to listen to the waves lapping against the rocks.

From there we walked to North Landing and then on to Flamborough Lighthouse. As you can see the weather turned on us and got abit cloudy and damp but that didn't stop us having a good look around.

Anyway, now i have bored you to tears i will show you another project that my ladies made on the craft day last week. This is a little box that can be filled with all sorts of little treats. On this occasion they are filled with those pesky thorntons again. The cardstock was Pale Plum and the butterflies were stamped using the stamp set Flight Of The Butterfly. The ink used was Perfect Plum. The green on the box was Certainly Celery cardstock and then Certainly Celery grossgrain ribbon to finish off. The edging was done using the Eylet Border punch.

This definatley went down well with one of my ladies Pam as she loves all things butterflies.

So that's it for now. Enjoy the rest of your sunday.

My craft day

Hya,

How has your week been? Well mine has been quite hectic. This week i have had two exams to do. The first one was all about medical terminology and i was being tested on all the terms. Anyway i passed that one (luckily!!) and then the second one was about singles and pleurals of the words from the previous day. Iam proud to say i def passed that one with 100%. Get me!! So i am half way to being a medical secretary.

Just to let you know, my mog is on the mend now. She is back to being her chirpy fury self.

I also have had my ladies attending a class yesturday, so hi to Lynne, Carol, Terry, Pam, Irene and Cath. Here they are all beavering away.

And here is some of what they made. The project i am showing you today is a milk carton.

The cardstock is Melon Mambo stamped with Melon Mambo ink for the background. The F friends is also stamped with Melon Mambo and decoupaged for the 3 d effect. The flowers on the front have been stamped with Rich Razzleberry and Old Olive ink pads with a little brad from my stash. The gorgeous ribbon in the top of the carton is Rich Razzleberry Polka Dot ribbon to finish it off.

Do you know the best bit? The ladies all got to fill their cartons with fabulous thorntons chocs. Nice....

Come back soon and i will show you some more from the class. Have a good week.
