Pink all the way.

Hya,

How has your bank holiday been? Mine has been ok. I have made a couple of new baby cards but they arn't Stampin' Up. But shhhh, don't tell anyone. I will show you those later. Thank you for all the lovely comments I have had too. It definatley gives me the confidence to keep going.

I still haven't got around to photographing the projects that we did for the shoebox swap. I know, I should photograph them at the time but I just forget.  OOps!!

We have had some good news this week as Lauren got her GCSE results on thursday. She has done really well and can now go ahead and do the A levels she wants to. I am so proud of her.

Any way, back to some crafting. I want to show you a scrapbook page I made a while back. I got back in to scrapbooking a few months ago. I even got involved in starting a scrapbook group in Otley.I have enjoyed seeing the photo's coming to life.

As you can see it's the monster and me. I have used Melon Mambo as my base colour. I have then used various Stampin' Up pink ribbon as decoration. I used the Boho Blossom and the 5 Petal Flower punch to punch out flowers. The wording is made using the Perfect Alphabet stamp set.

It's quite weird looking back at some of the photos. It seems so long ago.
Any way time to get ready for a busy day at work tomorrow. Have a great week.

Something a little different

Hya,

How has your weekend been?
Mine was really nice yesturday. I attended our very first Gems Shoe Box Swap. I got to spend the day with my Stampin' Up friends and do lots of crafting too. I will show you my project another time but all the makes were fabulous.

Today I am going to show you something that is totally different for me. I had to get the sewing machine out. Now I can't even think the last time I used it, so much so I had to get the instructions out and read them!!

I saw these bags on the American websites and thought I love them I NEED to do this. These bags are Rag Tag Bags. This was much easier to do than I thought.

I used our Stampin' Up fabric Timeless Portrait. It combines the colours Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla. I used the Scalloped Square die to cut out the shapes and sewed them all together.

I am so pleased with the result I am even doing one in a pink colour. What do you reckon? U like?
Well back to chores again. Have a great week.

Butterfly Crush

Hya

How has your week gone? I have finally managed to come to a stop and have had a couple of days doing absolutely nothing and boy do I feel better for it.

Today I thought I would show you  a project I have made. I know you will have seen many versions of this but me being me, loving butterflies and bling - this was just crying out to be made.

I have used the Stampin' Up Beautiful Wings Embosslits Die.I have also used various Stampin' cardstock in lots of colours. If you look closely you can see that I have used the Rhinestone Gems for on the bodies.

I love the way this has turned out and it now takes pride of place in my room.
Hope you likey. Have a great week.

Phew, busy weekends.

Hya,

How is your weekend going? I seem to be having the busiest time ever but it's definatley keeping me out of mischief. I seem to have had something planned for each weekend so far. That's why I haven't been able to blog much.

This weekend Lauren and I had been taken for a day out. We were taken to Cadbury World in Birmingham. It was an amazing day and certainly one I would recommend for any chocolate lovers out there. This photo is when we first arrived at the Cadbury factory and Lauren and her friend Becki where so excited, as you can see.

Even Bazill got in on the act!! He was in chocolate heaven too. : )

Any way, on to the serious stuff.
Last week end I was invited to a friends wedding celebrations. They had got married in Las Vegas but had a party here to include their family and friends. I had been asked to make the invites for them but had also been asked to make a Guest Book for them. I took some inspiration from one my Stampin' Up Mummy Julie had done and made it compliment the invites I had done before.

The colour scheme was Whisper White, So Saffron and Old Olive. I made the flowers using the Stampin' Up Flower Daisies Big Shot Die. The leaves were cut using the Little Leaves Sisslet Die. The sentiment was done on the computer. The ribbon on the front is a retired ribbon Daffodil Delight. I am really pleased with how this has turned out.

So, on with another week. Why not leave me a message to let me know you called by.

Have a good week.

40th Birthday Card

Hya,

How is your sunday? The weather hasn't been great here so we are not able to get out and about much. Plus I am abit tired today. Lauren, my daughter, had her school leavers prom last night. It was quite a day yesturday, what with her getting ready but I thought I would show you the final result. I am not quite sure when she turned from a little girl into this young lady.

She had a whale of a time with her friends.

So on that note, I thought I would show you a card that I made for my friend Geraldine. She doesn't do the traditional girlie pinks so I looked for her favourite colours.  It was a big birthday for her as you can see. I have used the stamp set Every Little Bit. The colour combo is Craft Base card with Soft Suede and Choc Chip layered up. The stamped images have been mounted on to Baja Breeze card. The ribbon is just some from my stash that just worked. And if you look closely you can see that I have added the usual required bling.

Hope you likey.  Have a good week.

Last of the Jubilee

Hya

Well finally we can get out in the garden. The weather is a bit brighter today so I decided to get on with a few jobs that needed doing. It's quite theraputic, just like crafting.

So I thought I would show you my last offering towards the Jubilee. I can't say that I got into the spirit of things as I had to work, but never mind.
Here is a card my ladies made in the last class and they seemed to love it. The stamp set was The Tea Shoppe stamp set and I stamped in Real Red and Night of Navy onto Whisper White card. I added some Gross grain Ribbon and of course a little bling.

So what do you think?
Have a good week.

Jubilee Weekend

Hya,

Well I know you haven't heard from me for some time but I have been so busy. Like yourselves it's hard to be able to fit it all in so something has had to give. To be honest I think my craft mojo left me for a while too. I am pleased to say that it looks like it is back again and boy have I missed it.

So on that note, here is one of my offerings for the Jubilee Weekend.
The colours used are Cherry Cobbler, Night of Navy and Whisper White. The stamp set used is from the new summer mini catalogue and is Tea Shoppe.

And of course it wouldn't be mine if it didn't have a little bling on it, lol.

I hope your having a good party weekend,
