new home card

Hya,

How has your week been? Well, you know that cold i had, it turned out to be a chest infection after all. I don't do things by half me. I'm finally on the mend but it has taken it out on me. I have to be right by tomorrow, as i have training at my Stampin' Up mums Julies tomorrow and i don't like to miss it.

Thankyou for your lovely comments about my cards. I thought i would show you a card i was asked to make for a couple who are setting up in their first home.

I have used some card stock from my stash (as i need to make room for lots of stampin up goodies). I used the Stampin' Up Wheel called Neighbourhood. This was then decoupaged to give a little three d effect. The ribbon was Brocade Blue. The name wording was done using Just Perfect Alphabet and the Stamp-a-mig and also Night Of Navy inkpad.

Well that's me for now. Thanks for looking.

The ink is also Bravo Burgandy too. The stamp set is the Vintage Vogue set. The ribbon is Kraft Taffeta ribbon. I have decoupage the large flower thats in the middle. The centre is a half backed pearl from the Pretties Kit.

Classes

Hya,

Sorry for the lack of posts this week. I hope all is ok in crafting land. What a week i have had. I have had 2 classes on this week, lost of studying to do too. I can honestly say it doesn't come naturaly to me, but by hook or crook i will get there.

I wanted to say hello to my new ladies, Marilyn, Jean and Lindsay. We had a great evening making a Crazy for Cupcakes card. A good time was had by all including me. The card stock was Regal Rose layered with Close to Cocoa. The lovely cupcakes are coloured in again using the blender pens and inks and the ribbon is Choc Chip satin ribbon.

My other ladies who came to a longer class yesturday at my home, did a birthday tin and made 6 ish cards to go in it. It was very warm here but you cannot stop creativity when it's in full flow!!!

Here is a small selection of some of the cards Lynne, Carol, Irene, Terry and Pam came up with. I had asked them to make different cards to mine which at first sent them into a frenzy but here are the some of the results.

The kit we used ws the sunny days scrappin' kit. We also used Temping Turquoise, Pink Passion and Pumkin Pie cardstock and ribbons.

So now you see how busy i have been.

That's it for now. Thanks for looking. Have a good week.

Birthday Girl

Hya,

How lucky am I? Yesturday was my birthday and i just wanted to say thank you to all the people who took time to send me a card. It was a lovely treat getting so many nice cards in the post. I thought i would show you a selection of them.

How lovely are they. I had a lovely day and got lots of nice prezzies.

I have a project to show you too. 'Cripes' I hear you cry. Like buses you don't get any thing for a while and then they all come at once!

I am going to do a new class tomorrow evening and wanted to take some cards that had been made with Stampin' Up products. I don't have much space and to show case them off, this is what i came up with.

This is a photo album that I have decorated. I have used the new night and day papers from the mini catalogue. I have totally covered the front and back with them and then used Whisper White to keep the inside covers tidy. I used Whisper White and stamped the wording with basic black, using The Perfect Alphabet stamp set. The border is using the Eyelet border punch. I also used the gorgeous Whisper White Satin Ribbon. The jewel brad on the front of the ribbon is from the pretties kit too.

This is the view so you can see there are cards inside. I just love the way this has turned out. I can't wait to show my ladies tomorrow.

Well, thats it for now. Have a good week.

two-step bird punch

Hya,

Happy tuesday to you. Where is time going, so much to do so little time..

Here is the card I said I would show you. Quite a simple card and easy to put together and can be used for so many things. You will notice that I haven't put a sentiment on the front because I thought it was so versatile. It could be a 'Just Because' or 'Just A Note' or even a Sympathy card.

The colour combo is Pale Plum for the card, Elegant Eggplant for the bird and branch, which has been punched out using the Two Step Bird punch and then Old Olive for its wing. The ribbon is Old Olive Grossgrain.

Anyway, I hope you like. Have a good rest of the week.

The boys are back in town!!

Hya,

Well Iam just coming back down to earth after seeing Westlife in Sheffield last night. Oh My God, the boys are back in town and was they worth the wait. It was great to see them on fine form after they had taken their year out. They were in high spirits and i just wish i was seeing them again tonight.
Here's a pic i sneaked down to the front to take (naughty me! )

And my other half bought me a t shirt from the concert as it's my birthday soon.
I'm absolutley shattered as we didn't get back till very late and i had to work today. BUT they were soo worth it.

Oh well, back to reality. Come back tomorow and i have a card to show you.

All for friends.

Hya,

How has your week been? Mine hasn't been too bad. I have managed to finally sort my laptop out so that I can do the online course which is quite a relief to be honest. I'm not tech minded when it comes to computers so that's quite a result for me.

I can't wait for sunday evening, I'm off to see Westlife. After 2 years away from us they are back on the road and it seems absolutley ages ago when the ticket was booked back in November. I can't wait.

Anyway back to card making and not dreaming,

here is a card i have been asked to make for my friend. I have used a stamp set from the mini catalogue. It's a level 2 hostess set called All for Friends. I have coloured the little vests in using my Stampin' Up blender pens and the brocade blue and So Saffron inkpads. The cardstock is Bashfull Blue, Kraft and Barely Banana. The edgeing is done using the eyelet border puch. The ribbon is from my vast ribbon stash.

I like how this has turned out, so much so my friend also asked for another card for a different baby. Great.

why not leave me a comment to let me know you have called by.

Thats it for now, back to studying.

medalion

Hya,

Happy bank holiday to you. I hope you are up to lots of nice things or just taking time out to chillax. I'm doing bits and pieces. I was supposed to be starting an on-line college course but for some reason i can't get the blessed thing to start on my computer. So that means (i hope) that i will be able to get some crafting done instead.

Firstly, in a couple of weeks i am doing a class for some lovely new ladies, (who i already know but want me to show them what stampin' up is about). Now some of these ladies are scrapbookers more than card makers, and i wanted to show them a page that i have made using s.u products so i thought i would show it to you too.

I know you have seen the photo before but i used kraft cardstock for the base, some paper from the level 1 hostess paper pack, the medalion stamp- which i think is really effective and real red satin ribbon and ink pad.For the title i used just perfect alphabet stamp set and the stamp-a-ma-jig to get the lettering straight. It is quite a simple layout but when put together speaks for it's self. I had seen this layout done by Aurora on the In love with stamping site and just had to give it a go for myself. I love the result.

Well thats it for now.
